Laura graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science in 2013 and then earned a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2016. During her education Laura gained a passion for orthopaedic physiotherapy and has worked in private practice since graduation. She has a keen interest in manual therapy but also incorporates patient education, exercise and acupuncture in her treatments for a balanced rehab plan.
Laura has always had a special interest in women’s health and in 2022 she completed her Level 1 and Level 2 pelvic health certifications to bring pelvic floor physiotherapy to the clinic. Laura is motivated to help people through issues with bowel, bladder or sexual health that impact their quality of life and ability to participate in what they love to do.
Laura values ongoing education and has completed her Acupuncture certification, Level 1 and Level 2 (lower quadrant) of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy exams as well as courses in pregnancy, pelvic girdle pain and rehabilitation after cesarean birth. She plans to continue taking courses in both pelvic floor and orthopaedic physiotherapy to further professional development. In addition to her clinical work with patients she has a role as the Clinical Director within the facility.
