The types of massage offered are deep tissue massage, relaxation massage, trigger point massage, myofascial release, sports massage, & Swedish massage.
Acupuncture & Dry Needling
Acupuncture works by stimulating the body to produce its own natural pain relieving chemicals called endorphins by inserting fine sterile needles into specific places in the body called acupuncture points. Dry needling, the technique of inserting needles repetitively into a target anatomy, is specifically used for releasing specific anatomical issues such as scars/adhesions, muscle spasm, headaches, to restore shortened muscles to a normalized length, and to stimulate circulation and healing in chronic situations.
Neuro Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation in the comfort of your home or at the clinic:
Stroke and neurological conditions can result in reduced mobility and functional capabilities, decreased balance, changes in muscle strength, tone and more.
We provide active, hands-on, exercise-based rehabilitation to address mobility and functional impairments for adults with neurological conditions such as:
- Stroke
- Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders
- Multiple sclerosis
- Traumatic brain injuries
- Balance dysfunction
Vestibular Rehabilitation
Vestibular rehabilitation is a type of physiotherapy that can help alleviate symptoms related to many vestibular disorders. The vestibular system, along with vision and the sensory organs in our feet, coordinates our sense of balance. If any one of these systems is altered, it can result in disequilibrium, dizziness, imbalance, nausea or blurred vision.
These changes can be both temporary or permanent depending on the pathology. Fortunately, treatment can provide resolution or adaptive strategies to better manage these symptoms.
Treatment may include:
- Exercises for the visual system (gaze stability)
- Somatosensory system (balance)
- Positional maneuvers
- Habituation exercises based on the individual’s needs
